A piece of Europe in Loveland

When I left Florence, in 2013, the little bubble of my existence was burst. Suddenly I realized that the whole world wasn't obsessed with Art and Mastery. An obvious realization you might think, but for the past 5 years of my life, I had shared almost exclusively with like-minded individuals. We were obsessed with drawing and painting, with improving our skills. We fed off of, and encouraged, the passion of our peers.

Needless to say, it was magical and unique.
I missed It ever since. I found it hard to relate to people deeply, and to find a space where I could shamelessly talk about color, proportions, the feeling of a piece of art, or whatever subject my nerdy little heart was aching to share. But then I started teaching.
Many said I was crazy to try to bring the standard untouched, that Colorado was not Italy and that people were not interested in Art like that. But I was uninterested in anything else, something inside me just wanted to bring to Colorado the magic I had had the privilege of experiencing, and no one could convince me that on side of the world no one would want to get ridiculously good at something so beautiful, fulfilling and timeless.
Now, I'm proud and thankful for my stubborn nature, for time has proven me right. I have so many people that were interested in nothing else but excellence. And the most beautiful part, is that unknowingly, they had been missing Florence too.
They found a place to exist, a place full of kindred spirits. A place that encourages obsession and hard work. A place free of judgement, supportive, friendly and inspiring.
Umbra academy in Loveland, is not only an educational project, it's the next step in the growth of this amazing art family I've been building this past decade.
So sign up for a whole new kind of art classes. Become a person you never imagined you could be, and meet people that will forever change your life.
